Description
While and the Grand Prix of Sonoma last weekend, the annual Children's Charity Auction took place in the IndyCar fan village and I finally took the plunge into bidding on something. . .And wound up winning a broken rear bumper. For a whopping $95. To my surprise, no one bid against me- Guess no one likes broken parts.
Signed by 2012 series champion Ryan Hunter-Reay, Thinking it was from Ryan's 2012 car I found out later that night the part itself is actually off the car of his teammate James Hinchcliffe. (Hunter-Reay's current car is entirely yellow) After spending the night watching many a YouTube video, I concluded it came from the incident they were both involved in at the Long Beach GP earlier this year.
As I don't have room to keep it where I live, I decided to give it to my dad . . .lol Guess its now one of those "Father and Son" items.
