'Cause after the 31st of this month I got no place to live!!!
After being notified that my rent would increase to $625 a month
for a ***room*** I bid my landlord adieu. Now trying to find something I could afford on my own is a bit problematic and being in Cali doesn't help either. The only places I see that are even remotely affordable are in in the broke-ass city of Stockton. . .You know, the largest city in history to ever file for bankruptcy in 2012 until Detroit came along the following year? The city that in 2008 had the highest foreclosure rate in country along with one of the highest unemployment rates? A loving city along the river that was rated the 5th most most dangerous in America and was voted one of the top 3 worst cities to live in? Yeah! That one!
Well screw that!I'll probably move back in with my folks for the time being. But my old room is no longer usable as I moved out almost 9 years ago. . .So I'll stay in another room with hardly any room at all. I'll be living like a refugee fleeing from his homeland- only the bare essentials. That means nearly all my stuff has been going into a storage space I rented out. Which sucks.
Of course my folks aren't taking me in for free either, but I'd much rather pitch in and help them out than fork over half my monthly income to some schmuck. . .
To top that off I gotta send my car to the shop (wheel bearing), so that's another dent in the wallet, but wheels = freedom around here so gotta do what you gotta do. Since I have no idea where I'll be eventually living and how far I'll be driving, I gotta keep that thing in tip-top shape. So, in closing, I won't be uploading much if anything at all until I can get my living situation finalized, but I'll still log on from time to time.
Later.
P.S: To you gamers out there: If you haven't played it, download Valiant Hearts: The Great War. . .A little gem of a game that slipped under the radar last year, or was over-shadowed, or whatever . . .People for the most part didn't play it. WWI hardly ever gets any recognition in gaming and son-of-a-bi. . .the ending it had,
the feels . . . Only a couple of the Metal Gear games ever made me tear up. That little piece of art should have been Game of the Year.
